Stratford's Green Schools Committee are delighted to announce that 33 old classroom and computer lab computers are being donated to the charity, Camara Education, for recycling on Wednesday 4th November. Over the summer of 2015 Stratford invested in a whole new suite of computers for its classrooms and computer lab.

Ms. McCarthy, Ms O'Sullivan and the TY students started work on the school biodiversity garden on Thursday, 22nd October. A lot of work needs to be done over the coming weeks to prepare the ground for spring bulbs and a number of fruit trees. The theme of this year's Awards Ceremony on Friday, 23rd October, was renewable energy - in light of Stratford's Green Schools Committee formally raising its second Green Flag for Energy. Green Schools organised for an electric car to come to the school with ESB Cars. Students had great fun getting into it prior to the start of the Awards Ceremony!

The Green Schools Committee are working under a new slogan since early this year - "Our Planet, You Plan It". The Green Schools Committee feel it is catchier and will encourage students to think Green. The theme for this year's Awards Ceremony is to celebrate the Green Schools Committee award of a second Green Flag in May 2015.

A number of senior students from the Green Schools committee attended a ceremony in The Helix in DCU on Tuesday, 19th May to receive the second Green Flag for Energy. A huge amount of work was done by all the Green Schools committee to achieve this well-deserved flag.

5th Year Student, Carmel Grey, spearheaded the phenomenal work done by the Green Schools Committee for their recent inspection on Wednesday, 25th March. The result of this inspection is that Stratford College is to be awarded its second Green Schools Flag for Energy in May!
