Stratford celebrated Wellbeing Week 2026 (5th - 8th May), a special week dedicated to promoting positive mental health, physical activity and cultural awareness. Well done to the Stratford College Chess team who reached the Libermann Cup Finals to play against Coláiste Eanna on Monday 11th May. This is the first time that the Chess team has reached the finals. While it proved to be challenging with Coláiste Eanna showing great experience and ultimately winning out, the Stratford chess team are determined to be back next year!

The TYs have been really busy throughout March! Every Friday they've been going to the BLOC Climbing Centre near Tallaght, a number of students visit Orwell Lodge Nursing Home every Tuesday at lunch, a field trip to the Incinerator in Sandymount with Ms Skehan, completed a Kinia Paired Reading training morning, attended a Women in STEM talk when past-pupil Olivia Foley returned to Stratford and more! Plus the very cool TY 2025-2026 hoodies arrived - thanks Mr Eppel!

On Tuesday 24th of March, our school football team played a friendly match against Greenhills Community College in Walkinstown. It was a good opportunity to experiment, as Emmet captained the team for the first time, while we tried out a new 5-3-2 formation, instead of the usual 5-4-1.

What an exciting match in the East Dublin Schools tournament. Our 2nd year boys won by 1 basket 25-23, when the game went to extra time. A fantastic game played by all.
