Read more →Art, Global Justice, Community Activism are intertwined in murals that explored themes such as Climate Action. The main mural - 'Rising tides' is in an open-art museum/classroom/teaching and learning space: a busy space where students move about in. The goal is to capture attention and trigger action.
Read more →Starting on Tuesday, 1st February with a trip to Rathmines Library to look at examples of children's books, the TY's then worked for five weeks with Ms. Talbot, Ms Mahon and illustrator/artist Adrienne Geoghegan. We had such an enjoyable time with her creating our own children's picture books.

Read more →Stand Up Awareness week was celebrated in Stratford from 15th - 19th November, finishing up on Friday, 19th in a wash of colour as students were allowed a non-uniform day to wear bright colours!
Read more →Stratford College has been selected as one of 400 schools to participate in the Department of Education's new innovative Arts-in-Education BLAST Residency Programme in 2021. Adrienne Geoghegan, a visual artist and illustrator, is going to work with the TY class in January and February 2022 to help them write and illustrate their own children's books.

Now you can watch the eBook of the creative works submitted by students.
Read more →Part of a commission/artist in residence at Stratford College, Dublin, 2002. Where I painted a series of student portraits for the Colleges 50th Anniversary . Fresco fragment with gold-leaf. The work was inspired by Pompeii frescos of children’s portraits and Roman/Egyptian funeral mask frescos of mummies. Read more →The Wellbeing committee have been working especially hard this term to devise challenges for each month we had a variety available for students to choose from including, sustainable cooking, couch to 5k and even yoga challenges. We also had competitions to spark the competitive side amongst each year groups which were the Chasing Joy competition at the start of 2021 and more recently our 'Eye on Nature' competition.
