Five 1st Year groups compete in YEA ECO Dens semi-finals in Airfield
Well done to the 1st Year Computer Studies class - five Scratch coding group projects were invited to compete in the 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards ECO-Den semi-finals in Airfield Estate on Wednesday, 11th March.

Stratford at Stripe YSTE 2026 - 2 projects, 3 awards. 5th Years win Runner Up Group Award.
The whole of Stratford College and community are so proud of 5th Year students, Hao Wen and Ritvik, for winning one of the top four awards in this year's competition - the Runner Up Group Award. They also won the Institute of Physics Special Award. A big thank you to Dr Ryan for mentoring the 5th year students.
Major congratulations to TY students Callum and Sanket for getting a Highly Commended award for their FluxChess project in a very challenging category, mentored by Ms O'Kelly.

TYs display creative coding skills in SciFest@Schools 2025 competition
The TY students have been working on their Scratch group projects since September and on Thursday 11th December were ready to present their projects to two external judges in SciFest@School. Congratulations to Alanna, Ciara and Fionn who won 1st prize! There were many other prizes amongst TYs.

Awards Ceremony 2025 - celebrating student achievements
On Friday, 10th October Stratford College celebrated student achievements for the past academic year. We welcomed Colm Keegan - poet, writer, dramatist - as our keynote speaker who shared with us the transformative power of poetry.
Stratford College awarded Amber Flag for promoting Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing
Stratford College was awarded the Pieta Amber Flag for promoting Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing in May 2025. The awarding committee found that Stratford has shown great commitment in promoting positive mental health by encouraging teamwork and contributions from peers in all aspects of Stratford school life throughout 2024-2025.
TY students compete in SciFest@College 2025 in TUD Grangegorman
Five TY teams competed in the SciFest@College competition in TUD Grangegorman on Friday, 2nd May. They presented their projects to a number of TUD lecturers. Congratulations to Alexander, Davi and Hao Wen who won a "highly commended" award for their 'Save the world' project!

Nine Stratford students invited to Bebras Computational Thinking National Finals 2025
Congratulations to the nine 2nd and 3rd year students who were invited to compete in the Bebras National Finals in Maynooth University on 5th April 2025. They were Olwyn, Cian, Roberto and Heidi in 2nd year and Julia, Ciara, Colin, Sanket and Callum in 3rd year.
