Senior Cycle Subject Fair for Transition Year Students

On Thursday 26th February Transition Year students participated in a Senior Cycle Subject Fair. In session one we had an opportunity to speak with 5th years about the subjects they had chosen.  During session 2, the teachers presented their individual subjects to us outlining curriculum content and assessment details.  Next, students have the chance to sit in on senior cycle classes.  Hopefully we will be well informed in advance of picking our subjects for Leaving Cert.

Well done to our Class of 2025 with their Leaving Certificate results! Key dates:

🗓️ 22 August – Leaving Certificate Results Released. We would be delighted to see you in the College! ✅Available from 12:00 noon, online and through the school.

🗓️ 27 August – CAO Round One Offers Released Available from 2:00 PM via your CAO account.

🗓️ 2 September – Deadline to Accept Round One Offers Be sure to respond before 3:00 PM.

🗓️ Subsequent Offer Rounds:• Round Two: 8 Sept• Round Three: 16 Sept• Round Four: 23 Sept• Final Round: 30 Sept• CAO Offer Season Closes: 2 Oct🎯

Stratford College takes part in national protest for reform of Senior Cycle

During lunchtime on Tuesday the 19th of November, Stratford College teachers took part in the national protest to highlight concerns over the "acceleration" of Senior Cycle reform. Teachers are concerned about the lack of guidance and training from the Department of Education, the lack of consideration towards student use of AI for proposed assessment tasks, and the elevated stress on students that these assessments would potentially cause.
