Read more →Tuesday, 7th February was Safer Internet Day and this year's theme is promoting respect and empathy online. This week in SPHE classes, Computer Studies classes and at form time students will be participating in discussions about different aspects of keeping safe on the internet.
Read more →The 5th Years ably hosted their Assembly on Tuesday 17th January. It was combined with a special BT Young Scientist & Technology Assembly where Ayush, Joseph and Liam spoke about their respective projects. Ayush explained the importance of his project in terms of breast cancer research and we now can see why he was awarded the Best Individual Project and Horizon Student Award for the overall best Biological & Ecological project at BTYSTE 2023. Liam and Joseph demonstrated their projects too and there was much interest! The finalists parents were invited to the assembly too.
Ayush Tambde, aged 17 and in sixth year in Stratford College won the prize for Best Individual, with his project, 'Analysis of single-cell proteomic data to understand the mechanisms of oncogenic transformation and how to control them'.
Ayush also won the Horizon Student Award for the best overall Biological and Ecological project.
This year Stratford College has three students who will be competing with their individual projects in the 2023 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition from Wednesday 11th January to Saturday 14th January. This is a fantastic achievement!
Read more →The TYs put in a huge effort for this year's end-of-term Annual Quiz - from dressing up, to acting out scenarios, to broadcasting over Teams, using Excel spreadsheets to calculate the scores and putting together all the questions in the first place!
