The 5th Year Computer Science class visited Google HQ, Barrow Street on Friday 6th March to participate in an event celebrating International Women's Day with Ms O'Kelly and Dr McAdoo. We heard from many inspiring female Google engineers about their varied academic studies and career paths.

What a Stripe Young Scientist and Technology 2026 experience for our two Stratford College groups competing in this year's competition!
The whole of Stratford College and community are so, so proud of 5th Year students, Hao Wen and Ritvik, for winning one of the top four awards in this year's competition - the Runner Up Group Award. They also won the Institute of Physics Special Award. A big thank you to Dr Ryan for mentoring the 5th year students. Major congratulations to TY students Callum and Sanket for getting a Highly Commended award for their FluxChess project in a very challenging category, mentored by Ms O'Kelly.

The 1st Year Computer Studies class have been set up into 8 teams and each team registered their Young Environmentalist project plan with ECO-UNESCO in mid-December. Each team has started to create their Scratch coding project highlighting an environmental issue of their choice based on the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The TY students have been working on their Scratch group projects since September and on Thursday 11th December were ready to present their projects to two external judges in SciFest@School. Congratulations to Alanna, Ciara and Fionn who won 1st prize! There were many other prizes amongst TYs.
