Appointment of Delia Donohoe to Permanent Deputy Principal

Delia Donohoe has been appointed as Permanent Deputy Principal of Stratford College, following her tenure as Acting Deputy Principal since August 2023. This milestone marks her 21st year as a dedicated member of the Stratford community, where she has made a lasting contribution both in the classroom and in leadership.

Speaking about her appointment Chair of the Board of Management Ms. Aoife Cassidy said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Delia as Deputy Principal; she has been a leader and teacher at Stratford College for more than 20 years. During this time, she has served in an acting capacity as Deputy Principal, including over the last three years. She has strong leadership skills and an unwavering commitment and dedication to our school community. We have every confidence that she will continue to lead with the same energy, warmth and dedication in the years ahead. We are delighted to formally confirm Delia’s appointment and wish her every success in the role going forward.

Stratford at Stripe YSTE 2026 - 2 projects, 3 awards. 5th Years win Runner Up Group Award!

What a Stripe Young Scientist and Technology 2026 experience for our two Stratford College groups competing in this year's competition! 

The whole of Stratford College and community are so, so proud of 5th Year students, Hao Wen and Ritvik, for winning one of the top four awards in this year's competition - the Runner Up Group Award. They also won the Institute of Physics Special Award. A big thank you to Dr Ryan for mentoring the 5th year students. Major congratulations to TY students Callum and Sanket for getting a Highly Commended award for their FluxChess project in a very challenging category, mentored by Ms O'Kelly.

5th Year student listed in Sunday Independent's Thirty Under Thirty youngest business trailblazers

Congratulations to Liam in 5th year for being listed in the Sunday Independent's 'Thirty under Thirty' list of Ireland's youngest business trailblazers on 8th December. Liam co-founded Cartshare - an app for the Shopify e-commerce platform which is a simple button which allows shoppers to buy things with friends.

STEM trip to Regeneron, Co. Limerick as two TY students prepare for ISEF 2024 in Los Angeles!

TY students Joseph and Liam won the Regeneron Special Award at BTYSTE 2024 which means they will be representing Ireland at the forthcoming Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Los Angeles in May!

Regeneron invited Stratford TY's, 5th Year Computer Science students and Stratford's 7 BTYSTE 2024 students to their manufacturing site in Limerick on Tuesday 9th April.

Congratulations Ayush Tambde!! Best Individual Project 2023! And to our two 3rd Year Young Scientist Finalists!

Ayush Tambde, aged 17 and in sixth year in Stratford College won the prize for Best Individual, with his project, 'Analysis of single-cell proteomic data to understand the mechanisms of oncogenic transformation and how to control them'. 

Ayush also won the Horizon Student Award for the best overall Biological and Ecological project.
