5th Year Trip to Cancer Revolution Research Exhibition

The 5th years visited the Cancer Revolution Exhibition in St Stephen's Green to learn about the disease itself as well as the old and modern techniques in its treatment and how Irish scientists and doctors have contributed to the research. This event backed up the learning contained in the new Biology Specification as well as the SPHE curriculum. Field trips like this are essential for students in the new science specification so that they can experience science in real time and see real world applications of the classroom learning.

Five 1st Year coding projects make it to semi-finals of 2025 Young Environmentalist Awards

Stratford will be represented by five 1st year groups at the semi-finals of the 2025 Young Environmentalist Awards in Airfield Estate on Wednesday, 12th March. Each group has coded a Scratch game aimed to heighten awareness about the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  They will be presenting their projects in Eco-Dens - think Dragons Den - to a panel of judges.

BTYSTE 2025 - TY students win 2nd prize in Biological & Ecological Sciences, Intermediate, Group category!

Major congratulations to Hao Wen, Ritvik and Noah who won 2nd prize in the Intermediate-Group-Biological & Ecological Sciences category at the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE) 2025 Awards Ceremony on Friday 10th January with their K.E.V.I.N project and to 3rd year students Ciara and Callum for presenting their excellent BUZZ project to many interested organisations and well-known visitors!
