NEWS / 24 October 2025

Congratulations to the two groups - Hao Wen and Ritvik in 5th Year and Callum and Sanket in TY - who have been invited to compete in this year's Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition from 7th - 10th January 2026!

Hao Wen and Ritvik's project is exploring an aspect of String Theory, titled "Describing The Early Universe Using Axion Monodromy in 3+1D De Sitter Spacetime" and under the mentorship of Dr Ryan. This is the third time that Hao Wen and Ritvik will be competing in the Young Scientist competition - some feat!

Callum and Sanket's project is titled "FluxChess: A real-time dynamic Chess tutor that teaches through personalised feedback" with Ms O'Kelly as their mentor. Callum brings experience of competing in the Young Scientist competition from last year.

A big shout out to all of the Stratford students who entered the Stripe YSTE - Ciara (TY), Leon (1st year), Amelie (3rd Year), Zhi Hang (2nd Year) and Sachet (2nd Year). They invested a lot of time and energy getting their application forms in throughout September and have learned a lot from the experience. Never give up and start thinking of ideas for next year!

Ms O'Kelly
