On Friday morning, 4th September, there was huge excitement as 4th, 5th and 6th year students gathered in the hall with their Form tutors to go watch the amazing film - The Odyssey, written and directed by Christopher Nolan - in the Rathmines Omniplex cinema. In the IMAX1 cinema to be precise!

On a blissful Friday afternoon, the 28th of August, our Transition Year and First Year students got treated to a bonding trip at Bushy Park where they took part in a scavenger hunt. This adventure allowed our students to enhance their collaboration and teamwork skills, while spending quality time with their peers.
On Tuesday evening, 19th May the TYs celebrated their TY Graduation and Rite Journey Homecoming ceremonies with their families, friends and teachers. TYs were presented with a folder of all the Certificates that they achieved over the year.

Congratulations to TY students - Alanna and Ciara - who won the Intel Technology Award for the Scratch coding project called "The Great Safety Adventure" at the SciFest@College competition in TUD Grangegorman on Friday, 8th May! Well done to Callum and Sanket who also competed with their Scratch coding project called "Now you see me".

On Wednesday and Thursday 6/7th May, two groups of TY French students sat the DELF exams in the Alliance Francaise. These are challenging exams and the TYs are grateful of the support they got from Ms Ronayne.

Thanks to Ms Sulyk and the Stratford Parents Association, the Careers Evening on Thursday 30th April was a fantastic success! Done in a speed-dating format, students had 7 minutes to listen to a huge variety of people working in different industries and careers.

On the 27th of April the TY’s went camping in Larch Hill as a part of the Rite Journey, it was called the abyss, we slept in single tents far away from each other, before going to sleep we had a sing along around a campfire and one of the students brought a guitar!

Approximately 13,000 students from all over Ireland competed in the Bebras Challenge last November. 600 students were invited to compete in the Bebras National Finals in mid-April in Maynooth University. Well done to the 11 Stratford students who were invited to the finals - a major achievement indeed!
