The TYs started off with a busy first week in January, with the latest updates by Liam (TY). On Thursday, 8th January the TY’s went to the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2026 to support Callum and Sanket in the competition. They were competing in the Intermediate/Group/Technology category with their FluxChess project. Well done on winning a Highly Commended award.
On Friday, 9th January we then went skiing on the Kilternan dry slopes for our first class.
On Monday, 12th January we went to the EPIC museum and the Jeanie Johnston (see separate EPIC & Jeannie Johnston blog). We got to see the design and how those few weeks would have been like on the boat.
The 4Ys are sitting their CAT test this Thursday, 15th January.
Stratford College opened its doors on Sunday 6th September for a vibrant Open Day and welcomed prospective students and their families, and members of the community. The event started with presentations from the principal, Mr. Barrett, from Chief Rabbi Wieder, the Chair of the Board, and an inspiring student representative.
On Monday 8th September Ms Skehan and her TY Geography students had their Geography class at the beach by the River Dodder.

On Friday morning, 4th September, there was huge excitement as 4th, 5th and 6th year students gathered in the hall with their Form tutors to go watch the amazing film - The Odyssey, written and directed by Christopher Nolan - in the Rathmines Omniplex cinema. In the IMAX1 cinema to be precise!
