1st Year Computer Studies class enter Young Environmentalist Awards with Scratch coding projects

The 1st Year Computer Studies class have been set up into 8 teams and each team registered their Young Environmentalist project plan with ECO-UNESCO in mid-December. Each team has started to create their Scratch coding project highlighting an environmental issue of their choice based on the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Five 1st Year coding projects make it to semi-finals of 2025 Young Environmentalist Awards

Stratford will be represented by five 1st year groups at the semi-finals of the 2025 Young Environmentalist Awards in Airfield Estate on Wednesday, 12th March. Each group has coded a Scratch game aimed to heighten awareness about the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  They will be presenting their projects in Eco-Dens - think Dragons Den - to a panel of judges.
