The countdown to the 2026 Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition is on! Our two Stratford groups - Sanket and Callum (TY); Hao Wen and Ritvik (5th Year) - are working very hard in the final weeks preparing their project report, project diary and poster. Judging starts on Wednesday 7th January and the doors open to the public on Thursday 8th January.
Each group submitted their 3 minute video by the deadline of Friday 12th December where they explain their projects.
Hao Wen and Ritvik's project is exploring an aspect of String Theory, titled "Describing The Early Universe Using Axion Monodromy in 3+1D De Sitter Spacetime" and under the mentorship of Dr Ryan.
Callum and Sanket's project is titled "FluxChess: A real-time dynamic Chess tutor that teaches through personalised feedback" with Ms O'Kelly as their mentor. See also October 2025 Stripe YSTE blog.

In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
On Thursday 21st May, Ms Donohoe, Ms McGill and the 3rd Year Classics students walked to nearby Ely Arch beside the River Dodder. As part of Junior Cycle Classics, students have to compare a building in their local area with a building in Rome.

As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous (and acrobatic) play! The Teachers came out victorious.
