Maths Week 2026: daily puzzles, crack the code Treasure Hunt, Rubik's Cube race ... and more!

Stratford is celebrating Maths Week 2026 (12th - 18th October) with daily activities around the school, at breaktimes and in Maths classes! The tutor-time daily quiz is proving to be extremely competitive as each form group tries to solve it and then run to find Ms Matthews in order to win the box of chocolates!

The timetable of activities included:

1st Years - 3D Geometry Activity
TY - Hosting Maths Week event in Stratford National School
3rd Years - Bingo!
6th Year - in-class puzzles
Whole School Rubik's Cube Race
5th Years - Crack the Code Treasure Hunt
Lunchtime - boardgames and cards in the Hall

TYs head to Delphi Adventure Centre for a 3-day trip

The TYs, with Ms Talbot, Ms McGill and Mr Morgan, met extremely early on Monday morning 5th October to take the bus to Delphi for a 3-day trip. The weather proved to be good to everyone!

2nd Year and 6th Year Irish trip to Coláiste Uisce

On Monday 5th October, the 2nd Years and a number of 6th year students took the train at 7am to go to Coláiste Uisce in Co. Mayo for a three-day trip. A huge thanks to Ms Deegan, Ms Coffey and Ms Maxwell for organising such an amazing trip. Lots of Irish, surfing and fun! 2nd Year student, Saoirse, describes the trip as Gaeilge!
