Group of 5th Years come 2nd in the 2021 EU Codeweek Hackathon National Finals

On Thursday afternoon, 23rd September and all Friday morning, team 'SC-Babbage' (5th Year students - Annalivia, Adam, Dónal, Lysander and Ayush) competed in the National Finals of the 2021 EU Codeweek Hackathon. Similarly there were National Finals in Romania, Italy, Greece, Slovenia and Latvia.

Three students win an Intel Best Technology Project Award at the SciFest@College 2021 regional STEM fair

TYs compete in EU Codeweek Hackathon - one team gets to National Finals

Six countries, six hackathons! The TYs competed in a new EU Codeweek venture - a 24 hour hackathon - which started on Monday, 26th April. Students aged 15-19 from Ireland, Romania, Italy, Greece, Slovenia and Latvia were invited to create an innovative tech solution. On Tuesday afternoon they had to pitch their solution to a panel of judges.

Record number of Stratford students reach Bebras Computational Thinking National Finals 2021

Congratulations to the 23 Stratford students who have been invited to the Bebras National Final based on their score from November 2020! The finals will take place online on Tuesday 20th April 2021 as part of Tech Week 2021 (17th -23rd April 2021).

During February, Dell Technologies delivered an introductory webinar on Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning ML) to TY Computer Studies students, as well as the 5th and 6th Leaving Cert Computer Science students.

Breaking news! Ayush's quantum programming language that he developed himself and is called "Q" won 1st prize in the Individual Intermediate Technology section and the Stripe Special award at today's @BTYSTE BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition.

TY students exhibit their coding projects in SciFest@Schools Technology competition

The TY's competed in the SciFest@Schools Technology competition with their coding projects on Thursday, 10th December. Two external judges joined the class through Zoom and Teams to judge each of the group projects!
