Congratulations to TY student, Ayush Tambde, who is featured in the latest Leaving Certificate Computer Science Framework bulletin because of his two 2021 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition awards for his quantum computing language called 'Q'.

The Leaving Certificate Computer Science Framework initiative has been established to support the national rollout of Computer Science to post-primary schools. The framework brings together a unique collaboration of representatives from all of the key stakeholders with the intention of developing and implementing a range of measures designed to allow the subject to develop and prosper.

It represents a collaboration between the Department of Education, the Computers in Education Society of Ireland (CESI), PDST, the Irish Universities Association (IUA), higher education institutions, Ibec, the technological higher education association (THEA) and SOLAS and operates as a subgroup of the Leaving Certificate Computer Science Steering Group to which it will report and from which it will, from time-to-time, take direction.
