SciFest@Schools competition: TYs present their Coding projects

Having worked diligently on their Scratch games and applications since September, and armed with explanatory posters and their Design Process log to show all the work that went into the design of these computer games, the TYs were ready to face the SciFest judges on Wednesday, 19th December.

SciFest@Stratford: TY Scratch programming projects examined by external judges

In a busy week for the TY students, two external judges examined their Scratch programming projects in the second strand of the SciFest@Stratford competition held on Tuesday, 8th March. Congratulations to Gabriel Messam for his individual project and to Cormac Kelly, Jake Henry and Geordan Sheridan O'Brien for their group projects - they were deemed joint winners.

CoderDojo@Stratford on Sundays

Since Sunday, 19th April the Parents Association has organised a weekly CoderDojo@Stratford from 4pm - 5.30pm. Up to 20 pupils aged between 8-12 have been attending regularly, with students from Stratford College acting as mentors and lending their expertise, while the main programming expert is a parent from Stratford National School.
