In a busy week for the TY students, two external judges examined their Scratch programming projects in the second strand of the SciFest@Stratford competition held on Tuesday, 8th March. Congratulations to Gabriel Messam for his individual project and to Cormac Kelly, Jake Henry and Geordan Sheridan O'Brien for their group projects - they were deemed joint winners. They will go on and represent Stratford College at the SciFest@College competition hosted by IT Blanchardstown in early May.

The TYs worked intensively to get their Scratch projects working to a prototype level, along with a poster and a log book. Thanks to George Porter, SciFest co-founder and Brian Gillespie, lecturer in Computer Studies, DIT, for judging the competition.

"I got to see how to make computer games and I liked the experience." Ciara Hopkins
