The 2022 Awards Ceremony was held on Friday, 28th October with Minister for Transport, Climate, Environment & Communications Eamon Ryan TD as guest of honour. Five students asked the Minister questions about issues concerning climate change.

Stratford College – Summary of Parents’ Comments

The school distributed the survey to all parents, via their usual communications methods, during October 2021. The following summary results were received by the school on Friday, 17th June 2022.

WorldWise Global Schools - Global Justice, Sustainability and Active Citizenship

Art, Global Justice, Community Activism are intertwined in murals that explored themes such as Climate Action. The main mural - 'Rising tides' is in an open-art museum/classroom/teaching and learning space: a busy space where students move about in. The goal is to capture attention and trigger action.

2nd Years CSPE CBA: Fast Fashion

At the 2nd Year Assembly on Friday morning, 29th April, three 2nd Years highlighted the issue of Fast Fashion as part of their CSPE CBE. Izzy, Tristan and Francis raised the following issues about Fast Fashion:

Student Council members and the Green Schools committee take part in Leadership Training

Students from the various leadership positions throughout Stratford College, the Student Council and the Green Schools committee, participated in a virtual Leadership Skills training session on Tuesday 15th of February.

Green Schools share daffodils with everyone in Stratford

On Friday, 11th February, in anticipation of the 14th February (!), Green Schools distributed daffodils to every teacher for every classroom.

6th Year English student writes about UN Climate Change Plan

Well done to Niamh Dwyer (6th Year), who wrote a fantastic article on the UN Climate Change Plan. She has a very natural style and persuasive tone, which positions her for a potential future career as a journalist.
