On Tuesday, 13th December two external judges came to visit the TY Computer Studies class as part of the SciFest@Schools competition. There were seven groups each with their own Scratch project. Brian Gillespie (Lecturer in Computer Studies, DIT Kevin Street) and Sheila Porter (CEO of SciFest) were the two judges.

At the end of November, Ms Ivers and her TY Irish students conducted the First Year Irish Oral Exams in the school hall. The TY students proved that they were good examiners.

Throughout November, the TY Library prefects, the TYs, Ms Mahon and Ms O'Kelly asked all students to draw an image of their favourite fictional character on a blank jigsaw piece. Through Art classes and the TY Computer Studies Digital Media module, we came up with this idea of creating a cuboid globe representing the World Book Day Award (2017) theme - "World of Stories".
