Throughout November, the TY Library prefects, the TYs, Ms Mahon and Ms O'Kelly asked all students to draw an image of their favourite fictional character on a blank jigsaw piece. Through Art classes and the TY Computer Studies Digital Media module, we came up with this idea of creating a cuboid globe representing the World Book Day Award (2017) theme - "World of Stories".
This year's World Book Day Award has a first prize of £5000 worth of Walker books. Schools from all over United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland are encouraged to enter. This year's theme is "World of Stories" inspired by Oliver Jeffers. The competition deadline was 9 December. In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
