On Friday, 13th May, Trinity College launched their "Trinity Access 21: Year 1" report on the need for Digital Skills in Irish Education at Google's Dublin HQ. A number of teachers were also invited to speak at the launch, including Ms. O'Kelly who was asked to speak about the coding initiatives implemented from 1st Year to TY in Stratford College through the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) curriculum. The report was featured on RTE 1 News and Radio reports.

In November during Arts Week, Eilis O'Toole, a landscape painter, worked with our TY students creating on site sculptures down at the Grand Canal in response to Patrick Kavanagh's canal bank poems. This culminated in a collaborative water colour painting which will be part of the NAPD Creative Engagement exhibition held at IMMA next October.

Ms Mahon judged the Raspberry Pi punnets made by each of the 1st Year students in Computer Studies classes during March and April. The winning designs are used to package the Raspberry Pi's installed in the computer lab.
Read more →Three groups of TY students competed at the SciFest@College level of the competition in the Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown on Wednesday, 4th May. Two of the groups entered Scratch projects into the Intermediate Technology competition and the third group entered their Mindfulness project into the Intermediate Science section of the competition.
