14th May 2018 - this year's TY mini-Olympics proved to be just as competitive as ever. Ms. Donohoe, Ms Finnegan and TYs enjoyed the excellent competition. Well done to Laura and Andrew who were crowned winners.

Stratford's Classics student miss out winning Ides of March quiz by one point
Ms Donohoe, Ms Corrigan and a large group of Classical Studies students who competed in the annual Ides of March Classical Studies inter-schools quiz, did Stratford proud on the night. One of Stratford's teams went into a tie-breaker, losing out by one point to come second. Well done to all!

Classical Studies in Stratford College featured in The Irish Times
Ms. Donohoe, Classical Studies teacher, and 6th Year Classical Studies student, Oscar McHale were both featured in the Education section of The Irish Times on Tuesday, 20th September. Ms Donohoe points out in the article that Classical Studies "suits a diverse range of students and engages them with art, literature, music, language and politics". Oscar McHale set up the Classical Youth Society of Ireland in 2014 and was featured on John Murray's morning show on RTE Radio 1 in that same year.

On Thursday, 12th May, the 1st Year Classics students presented their projects to Ms Donohoe and to the whole class. A huge effort was made by all the students which can be seen in the final artefacts.
