World Book Night is the annual celebration on 23 April that aims to inspire everyone to pick up a book and share the joy of reading. It is a key part of The Reading Agency's mission to support everyone in reading their way to a better life and using the proven power of reading to promote skills and learning, health and wellbeing, and build connected communities.

Citizen Science: Stratford students invited to participate in European/UCD 'BigO' research study

The European-funded BigO research study aims to lower childhood obesity rates by collecting, visualizing and analyzing BigData on young people's behavioural patterns and their environment. 1st to 4th Year students, and 5th/6th Year Computer Science students are being invited to participate in this research project from 7th - 18th December which is being co-ordinated by UCD researchers and led by UCD Professor Tahar Kechadi.

Two 5th Year students win award at SciFest National Finals 2020

Congratulations to Finn and Cian in 5th Year who won the "Berlin Long Night of Science" Award at the online SciFest National Finals on 21st November for their coding project called "Lost" which they started in TY. They won a three-day trip to Berlin in June 2021 to celebrate its Long Night of Science - when Berlin opens up its labs, libraries and musuems! How wonderful!
