The Annual School Walk is back: the Dodder Greenway Route

On a sunny Thursday morning on 30th March, students from 1st year to 5th year walked from Stratford to Tymon Park along the Dodder Greenway Route.

TY students have launched a Jewish Dublin interactive heritage trail outlining areas in the city which traditionally had close links to the Jewish community. 

Lives Illuminated: A Joint TY 2023 Jewish Arts Culture Ireland (JACI) project

Jewish Arts and Culture Ireland (JACI) delivered a varied and unique programme to TY students covering a range of artforms and aspects of culture including poetry, literature, language, oral history, music, visual art, and heritage.

Leaving Cert Classics students attend a Leaving Cert lecture day in UCD

On 25th of March, 5th and 6th year Classics students attended a Leaving Cert lecture day in UCD. They attended seven 30 minute lectures on different topics related to the new Leaving Cert Classical Studies specification.

Today Stratford College held a Special Assembly to distribute Junior Cycle Profile of Achievements (JCPA) to the Class of 2022. Our very special Guest of Honour was Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. 

3rd Year student wins Endeavour Award at Dublin City Enterprise Student Awards Finals

Congratulations to Joseph in 3rd Year who won the Endeavour Award for his Japanese Typewriter product at the Dublin City Enterprise Student Awards Finals.

Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations!

A léithead de spórt agus craic a bhí ar siúl sa scoil i rith Seachtain na Gaeilge! Bhí imeachtaí ar siúl gach lá – Tráth na gCeist. Biongó, Comórtas Postaeir gan dearmad a dhéanamh ar an gCéilí Mór a tharla ar an gcúirt cispheile. Buíochas le Dia bhí an ghrian ag scaoilteadh na gcloch ar an lá sin agus ghlac gach duine idir muinteoirí agus daltaí páirt.

Classics students treated to a production of Euripides' Medea in UCD

Students from 1st to 6th year were treated to a production of Euripides' Medea in UCD on the 14th of March. Euripides' Medea is the current prescribed Greek tragedy on the Leaving Certificate Classical Studies specification.

TY student wins Senior Young Classicist Award 2023

A huge congratulations to Caoimhe in TY who won the senior Young Classicist award 2023 on Tuesday, 14th March. Caoimhe was picked as a finalist to present her project on 'Disability in the Ancient Classical World' to a theatre of 420 people in the Newman building in UCD.

5th Year student invited to compete in All Ireland Programming Olympiad (AIPO) Final Round

Congratulations to 5th Year Computer Science student Yoan Perenovski who was invited to compete in the Final Round of the 2023 All Ireland Programming Olympiad on 11 March.
