NEWS / 15 March 2023

A huge congratulations to Caoimhe in TY who won the senior Young Classicist award 2023 on Tuesday, 14th March. Caoimhe was picked as a finalist to present her project on 'Disability in the Ancient Classical World' to a theatre of 420 people in the Newman building in UCD.

There was great excitement in the packed theatre and Caoimhe had great support from her Stratford peers. Caoimhe's project and presentation were a winning combination resulting in first place.

In 2020 Caoimhe won the Junior Young Classicist award for her project on a young ancient Roman's girls carbon footprint. Such achievements are truly Herculean.

Congratulations to all of the Stratford students who entered the competition, Ciara and Julia (1st year), Sophia (2nd year), Amelie and Sonny (3rd year).
I hope you will enter again next year.

Ms Donohoe
