Awards Ceremony 2021 - online and most innovative!

This year's Awards Ceremony was again held online on Friday morning, 22nd October but with a mix of livestreaming from each classroom as rewards were announced! Ms Talbot and Student Council co-ordinated an incredible online production, involving filming, editing and producing many videos as each award was announced.

We're all very proud in Stratford of the endeavours of Karena Walshe (2008) who recently featured in the Irish Independent (21st October 2021) which focused on her work as Director of Global Partnerships at Web Summit.

Congratulations to our Leaving Certificate Class of 2021!

56% of the class achieved 450 points or more; 20% achieved 550 points or more! The average number of points was 425. Josh Barling achieved the highest points with 601!

Postscript

Following appeal of his results Alexey Gorelov was upgraded to a H1 in Higher Level Maths in October . He therefore gained 602 points! Congratulations Alexey!

Stratford College Year Book 2019-2021 published

Students received the latest Year Book (2019-2021) on the first day back in school! It's now available on the school website.

Part of a commission/artist in residence at Stratford College, Dublin, 2002. Where I painted a series of student portraits for the Colleges 50th Anniversary . Fresco fragment with gold-leaf. The work was inspired by Pompeii frescos of children’s portraits and Roman/Egyptian funeral mask frescos of mummies. The artwork was unveiled by President Mary McAleese in December 2002. Congratulations to Sophie Manaeva (2020): awarded TCD Entrance Exhibition Award

Sophie Manaeva will be awarded an Entrance Exhibition Award by Trinity College as the incoming student with the highest points from the state exams from Stratford College.

The Awards Ceremony 2020 - like no other!

This year's Awards Ceremony, held on Friday 23rd October, was like no other. The 6th Year prefects had pre-recorded the teachers giving their speeches. Students from the Leaving Certificate class of 2020 joined the online Awards Ceremony. Tomi Reichental, as special guest, gave a thought-provoking speech about the privilege of getting an education.
