Stratford invests in Office 365 Education for its Virtual Learning Environment

From December 2015, Stratford College is moving to Office 365 Education apps and service for its Virtual Learning Environment. After a lot of research, Stratford College came to the conclusion that Office 365 Education offered all the strategic features and more, that is required for 21st Century teaching and learning in Stratford. It will allow teachers and students to share, collaborate and create work in a cloud-based, secure environment.

Stratford’s FRIENDS for Life programme featured in the Irish Independent’s Education section

Ms. Finnegan and a number of the second year students were featured in the Irish Independent's Education section on Wednesday, 18th November for the FRIENDS for Life Programme which they learn during SPHE classes.

Web Summit for Schools - students and parents attend

34 students and parents attended the Web Summit for Schools in the RDS Simmonscourt Complex on Tuesday evening, 3rd November. Students from 1st Year to 6th Year were represented. Ross Smith (2nd Year) and Eva Corrigan (1st Year) report back on their experience of the evening.

Web Summit for Schools - Stratford will be there again!

A large group of students and parents from 1st year to 6th year have got much coveted tickets to the Web Summit for Schools on Tuesday, 3rd November at 7.30pm in the RDS. We were there last year and it was an incredible experience.

Annette Honan from the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) will be speaking about Assessment for Learning. In addition members of staff will be presenting on Junior Cycle English, Literacy, Numeracy, Well Being, Learning Support and Testing.

The Minister for Education and Skills, Jan O’Sullivan TD launches new CAO points scale
