Web Summit for Schools - Stratford will be there again!

NEWS / 21 October 2015

A large group of students and parents from 1st year to 6th year have got much coveted tickets to the Web Summit for Schools on Tuesday, 3rd November at 7.30pm in the RDS. We were there last year and it was an incredible experience.

I have been asked in the past few weeks by various students - 'what is the Web Summit for Schools'? Quoting from the Web Summit for Schools website - "Students and their guardians can attend an evening of incredible talks, the chance to learn from tech’s most brilliant minds, and a firsthand experience of Web Summit. All for free."

The Web Summit for Schools is one of the many summits that make up the overall Web Summit experience that will be hosted in the RDS starting on Tuesday, 3rd November until Thursday, 5th November. The Web Summit was started up by an Irish man, Paddy Cosgrave, and it has become one of the most influential tech events in the world. There will be over 500 world renowned speakers, as well as an exhibition of 2000 world-wide based start-up companies.

Read last year's Web Summit 2014 blog to see photos of the Web Summit for Schools and to read the impressions of some of the students who attended.
