Féilte 2015 is The Teaching Council's Festival of Education in Learning and Teaching Excellence. Ms. Reynolds successfully submitted the English 2nd year Media Studies module which was showcased at Féilte so ably in the RDS.

Subject will be integrated across junior cycle by 2020 as part of revised reform timetable. A new subject of wellbeing will be introduced to students starting the first year of secondary school in September 2017 under a revised timetable for the roll out of junior cycle reforms published Monday.

Advertising in Action is a module created around the Key Skills of the New Junior Cycle English. It involves students collaborating with other students, teachers and members of the business community. It endorses teamwork amongst students, creative and practical use of IT, peer and self assessment and develops their oral literacy. This module has greatly enhanced their oral, written and IT literacy and has reenergised Second Year students towards their studies.

In May 2015 The Irish Schoolheads Association in partnership with the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) filmed Patricia Gordon, Principal, and two of our teachers, Ms O' Reilly and Ms Donohoe and their classes (1st Years and 2nd Years) describing and demonstrating how they use Peer Assessment and Active Teaching Methodologies in the teaching of their subjects.
