The 4th Years enjoyed taking an active role in a Climate Literacy Sustainable Development module starting 5th September. The TYs were making connections linking systems such as technology-education-food-democracy.

The TYs and Dr McAdoo were busy in and around the school polytunnel on Thursday, 5th September planting lots of spring bulbs! They will be beautiful when they come out in early Spring 2025.

A ‘School Zone’ road surface sign will be painted directly on Zion Road on the northern side of the turn for Victoria Road. This is to advise motorists they are in a School Zone and to drive accordingly.
Two new ‘School Ahead’ with flashing amber signs will be installed on Zion Road on the northern side of the turn for Victoria Road. This is to advise motorists they are in a School Zone and to drive accordingly.
Blister paving has been laid for pedestrian crossings. This surface provides a warning to someone with a visual impairment that they are at a road crossing. The surface is an essential safety feature and consists of rows of flat topped blisters in a square pattern.
And a bike shelter and bike racks was provided by SRTS last year and is at the rear of the school.

Throughout the summer term all 3rd Year Computer Studies students participated in Trinity College's ERASMUS extenDT2 research project into Design Thinking with Emerging Digital Technologies. Through Design Thinking and using any of the three technology applications (ChoiCo, MaLT2, SorBET and nQuire for Students) - the 3rd years came up with games to help change the behaviour and understanding of people about Fast Fashion.

Stratford's School Walk along the Dodder Greenway kicked off Wellbeing Week on Tuesday 7th May. 1st - 5th Year students, teacher's and Rolo the dog walked approximately 15km!

Dublin Bay Cycling Centre and Dublin City Council are delivering cycle training to schools from 13th – 17th May as part of Bike Week activities to celebrate and promote cycling.

Well done to TY students Kaydi, Amelie and Bláithnáid who came 2nd in the Intermediate Technology category with their "Save the Fishes" game (coded in Scratch) to highlight this issue. Two TY groups competed at the SciFest@College competition in TU Dublin (Blanchardstown) on Wednesday 1st May.
