In mid-May, past pupil Jake Walsh (1990) who is Managing Director and Head of Commercials for ScreenScene, visited the school to judge the 2nd Year Digital Media projects. The winning students went on to win an award at the National Creative Schools Competition in June 2016.

Stratford College were awarded a top prize at the National Creative School's Competition in The Ark on Tuesday, 31st May. They won the award for an advertising video they created as part of their 2nd Year English Media Studies module.

On Tuesday, 10th May, Ms. Reynolds and her 2nd Year English students were featured on their experience of peer assessment. The overall feature examined the changing face of assessment in the Irish classroom to Assessment for Learning (AfL).

In November during Arts Week, Eilis O'Toole, a landscape painter, worked with our TY students creating on site sculptures down at the Grand Canal in response to Patrick Kavanagh's canal bank poems. This culminated in a collaborative water colour painting which will be part of the NAPD Creative Engagement exhibition held at IMMA next October.
