On Wednesday, 29th March the TY students performed the play by Sean Dunne - "I've to Mind Her" to the 1st Years. They were also examined on their performance as part of their drama module. TY student Ruth Aharon describes the experience.

During English class the TY students listened to a reading of Maya Angelou's poem, 'Phenomenal Woman,' to mark International Women's Day (8th March).

Thursday, 2nd March was World Book Day. Stratford students celebrated it by dressing up on the theme of "Where's Wally?" (and to also celebrate Purim). Dressing up was also a fund-raiser and €50 was raised for the Capuchin Homeless Day Centre. The annual book sale in aid of St. Michael's House was held by the TYs - just over €60 was raised. On 17th February 2017, the winning books in the Junior and Senior Category were announced at the Inaugural Great Reads Award hosted by The King's Hospital Library. Four Junior books and four Senior books were selected from a long list collated by librarians who are members of the Irish School Library Association. Students get to rate each book that they read. The Junior and Senior books getting the most votes - win! The school with the most student votes also win a prize.
