Thursday, 2nd March was World Book Day. Stratford students celebrated it by dressing up on the theme of "Where's Wally?" (and to also celebrate Purim). Dressing up was also a fund-raiser and €50 was raised for the Capuchin Homeless Day Centre. The annual book sale in aid of St. Michael's House was held by the TYs - just over €60 was raised. Fionn Bentley in TY describes the day.

World Book Day was a refreshing break from the typical school timetable. The TY class organised the hall and helped Ms O'Kelly. I enjoyed working at admissions accepting money, helping people fin the Wally characters in the hall and deciding music choices.

In the afternoon, Ms Reynolds organised a visit from the author Alan Glynn spoke to the school about writing books. One of Alan's books was made into the film "Limitless" starring Robert de Niro and Bradley Cooper.

Afterwards the TYs went to the Lexicon Library in Dun Laoghaire. I enjoyed seeing all the books on offer. We then took a walk along the pier and went for an ice-cream.
