Chasing Joy - February Challenges!

Student Council are promoting organising and promoting some of our Chasing Joy challenges for February! The theme is Wellbeing and Sustainable Living.

3rd Year Online Assembly & Chasing Joy (January) winners announced

On Friday, 12th February - the last day before mid-term - the 3rd Years had their online assembly. The winners of the Chasing Joy (January) competition were announced. Watch the 3rd Year's assembly on Stratford's YouTube channel - very impressive!

Student Council have been promoting the "Chasing Joy" competition throughout January.

Mia Quirke (5th Year prefect) explains: For the month of January there is a competition and 21 Day Walking Challenge while we are learning from home.

Green Schools: Irish Water Poster Competition 2021

Green Schools Ireland have announced their 8th annual Green Schools Irish Water Poster Competition! This year’s competition’s theme is Valuing Water, which aligns with the theme for World Water Day 2021. Look out for posters around school!

Stand Up Awareness Week

Friday, 20th November saw Stratford students and staff dress up in colourful clothes to celebrate Standup Awareness Week (16th - 20th November).

Culture Night 2020: Margaret Fitzgibbon, Artist in Residence, Cathal Brugha Barracks

For Culture Night 2020, Margaret Fitzgibbon (Artist in Residence in Cathal Brughal Barracks, Rathmines) took the opportunity to look back, access and indeed celebrate the many Cultural and Artistic programmes that have been organised since 2016.

TY students write and present Classical myths for primary school pupils

TY Classics students were tasked with writing a myth for the primary school and to present them to Stratford National School pupils on 4th December. They were given three weeks to do this project. Read how some of the groups responded to the design brief.
