Stratford Schools celebrate Proclamation Day, Tuesday, 15th March

On Tuesday morning, 15th March - Proclamation Day - the pupils, teaching staff (present and retired), staff and some parents from Stratford Schools, assembled out the front to celebrate the 1916 commemorations. Later in the afternoon the two schools were treated to a festival of talent at the annual Seachtain na Gaeilge concert.

Transition Year students produce ‘Claidheamh Soluis Choláiste Stratford 2016’ magazine

The TY students, with the help of students from other years, have produced a beautiful magazine in both printed and digital format in recognition of the 1916 Centenary. Work started last October during History, Irish and Computer Studies classes to research and write historical, cultural and literary articles. Browse through the digital version.

Student Council prefects accept tricolour at the National Flag Presentation Ceremony

On Monday, 7th March the Student Council prefects were invited to Croke Park for the National Flag Presentation Ceremony in which President Michael D. Higgins gave a speech. There were many schools in attendance and each was formally given a National Flag and a copy of the Proclamation by the Defence Forces.
