Student Council prefects accept tricolour at the National Flag Presentation Ceremony

On Monday, 7th March the Student Council prefects were invited to Croke Park for the National Flag Presentation Ceremony in which President Michael D. Higgins gave a speech. There were many schools in attendance and each was formally given a National Flag and a copy of the Proclamation by the Defence Forces.

On Monday, 7th March the Student Council prefects were invited to Croke Park for the National Flag Presentation Ceremony in which President Michael D. Higgins gave a special address. There were many schools in attendance and each was formally given a National Flag and a copy of the Proclamation by the Defence Forces. 

The ceremony took place in collaboration with the Thomas F. Meagher Foundation. Thomas Francis Meagher flew the first tricolour flag on 7th March 1848 in Waterford.

Stratford reach the 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals in RDS for the first time

Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!
