Stand Up Awareness week was celebrated in Stratford from 15th - 19th November, finishing up on Friday, 19th in a wash of colour as students were allowed a non-uniform day to wear bright colours!

Stratford supported Anti-Bullying week (15th - 19th November) by highlighting this year’s theme is ‘One Kind Word’ at form tutor time. Form tutors also did sociograms with their class groups.

Tuesday (Dé Máirt) Conradh na Gaeilge are running Gaeilge24. The aim is to speak Gaeilge non-stop for one full day (lá amháin!). In Coláiste Stratford we're going to 'bain triail as' and bring Gaeilge outside the classroom that day.

In January 2021, as Ireland bore the brunt of the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and remote schooling was required for a second time, a competition was announced where Stratford students were encouraged to express themselves 'Chasing Joy!'. Stratford College is continuing to integrate Global Citizenship Education into all aspects of teaching and learning this year as part of the World Wise Global Schools Programme.

We are very pleased that Stratford Schools are two of the 170 schools approved for the Safe Route to Schools Route Programme. The programme is funded by the Department of Transport through the National Transport Authority (NTA) and is supported by the Department of Education.

The Wellbeing committee have been working especially hard this term to devise challenges for each month we had a variety available for students to choose from including, sustainable cooking, couch to 5k and even yoga challenges. We also had competitions to spark the competitive side amongst each year groups which were the Chasing Joy competition at the start of 2021 and more recently our 'Eye on Nature' competition.
