Classical Studies in Stratford College featured in The Irish Times

Ms. Donohoe, Classical Studies teacher, and 6th Year Classical Studies student, Oscar McHale were both featured in the Education section of The Irish Times on Tuesday, 20th September. Ms Donohoe points out in the article that Classical Studies "suits a diverse range of students and engages them with art, literature, music, language and politics". Oscar McHale set up the Classical Youth Society of Ireland in 2014 and was featured on John Murray's morning show on RTE Radio 1 in that same year.

“La classe est à nous” - innovative French revision methodology to be showcased at FÉILTE

FÉILTE 2016, a showcase for innovation in education held by the Teaching Council in the RDS, will include Mr Priestley and two second year French students on Saturday, 1st October. Towards the end of the school year, 1st and 2nd Year Stratford French students were given an important section of revision for exams and worked in teams of five to design learning activities for the rest of the class. Students improved their understanding of tricky grammar concepts and achieved higher grades in exams.
