The 5th years had a great trip to Airfield Estate to complete their Ecology and Habitat study on Tuesday, 11th March. They found bugs, different plant species and even got to meet our local cows. All in Dundrum!

Stratford will be represented by five 1st year groups at the semi-finals of the 2025 Young Environmentalist Awards in Airfield Estate on Wednesday, 12th March. Each group has coded a Scratch game aimed to heighten awareness about the UN Sustainable Development Goals. They will be presenting their projects in Eco-Dens - think Dragons Den - to a panel of judges.

Our class trip to Paris was nothing short of an adventure—complete with unexpected weather, breathtaking sights, and the occasional minor disaster. The journey began as we landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport and made our way to our charming (read: small but cozy) hostel. Paris greeted us with its finest weather—pouring rain and wind strong enough to question our life choices—but we refused to be defeated.
The TYs have planted potatoes and onions during their horticulture class and these should be ready by May. They've also built some teepees for beans and peas outside.
Tuesday, 11th February is Safer Internet Day. This year’s celebrations are based around the theme, “Prepare / Protect / Thrive: Navigating Algorithms and Influencers.”

Stratford College acknowledges that today is International Holocaust Memorial Day and our thoughts are with our students, staff, their families, extended families and friends on this occasion. We remember all of the people who perished in the Holocaust, the millions of Jewish men, women and children and other victims who were persecuted by the Nazis because of their identity.
