Transition Year Students as part of their studies in Jewish History and Culture followed a Heritage Trail on Friday 23rd May. It started with a visit to the Jewish Museum in Portobello where students were transported back in time by examining various artefacts on display and then followed by insightful presentations by Dr. Natalie Wynn and Edwin Alkin.
After that students did a walking tour of some of the main sites around South Circular Road, Donore Avenue, Clanbrassil Street and the Bretzel Bakery. We were delighted that Historian Dr. Natalie Wynn, Trinity College led this trail.
This Heritage Trail was produced by past TY Stratford College students (2022-23) with the Jewish Arts Council of Ireland (JACI) and a cross-curricular team of Stratford College teachers.
