Many Stratford students will be participating in the Schools Strike 4 Climate protest outside Dáil Éireann on Friday, 15th March. Students will be leaving school at 12 noon to join other students from around the country.

Student Council hosted the Awards Ceremony on Friday, 26th October. The Awards Ceremony celebrates the achievements of excellence by Stratford students in the Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle, as well as leadership, sporting and extra-curricular activities during the school year 2017-2018.

Students work in teams, explore social issues that concern them and develop and implement creative responses and solutions to social need. Learning is youth-led and value-based, infused with an understanding of human rights, ethics and how innovation contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. After-school activities ranging from sports to drama to music are starting again for the new year. There are also many activities organised at lunchtime in the Library, in the Computer Lab and around the school.

This year's school walk on Wednesday, 23rd May, was from Bray to Greystones along the cliff walk. All funds raised were for Focus Ireland and it was also part of Green School's efforts to get another Green Flag (Marine) for Stratford. Oonagh Delargy (TY) explains in detail.

Stratford Green Schools were honoured to be one of the small number of schools invited to exhibit at the Green Schools Expo in the RDS on Thursday, 22nd February. Green Schools are currently working on their application for the Water Flag and the exhibit represented the work done to date. Well done to everyone involved - it was a long and busy day by all accounts!
