Mr. Priestley and his 2nd Year French class are busy writing to their new penpals in a school in Pantin, just outside Paris. This collaboration will also involve setting up a blog and recording short videos introducing our schools in the language of penpals.

FÉILTE 2016, a showcase for innovation in education held by the Teaching Council in the RDS, will include Mr Priestley and two second year French students on Saturday, 1st October. Towards the end of the school year, 1st and 2nd Year Stratford French students were given an important section of revision for exams and worked in teams of five to design learning activities for the rest of the class. Students improved their understanding of tricky grammar concepts and achieved higher grades in exams.

Wellbeing Arts Week 2015 lived up to the posters! Held from Monday, 16th November through to Friday, 20th November, there were activities and workshops for every student and teacher alike. In May 2015 The Irish Schoolheads Association in partnership with the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) filmed Patricia Gordon, Principal, and two of our teachers, Ms O' Reilly and Ms Donohoe and their classes (1st Years and 2nd Years) describing and demonstrating how they use Peer Assessment and Active Teaching Methodologies in the teaching of their subjects.
