The TYs are currently in Delphi in Co. Mayo for four days - Monday, 4th September through to Thursday, 7th September. On day 1 they were out kayaking and over the days will experience many different outdoor adventure sports.

Mr. Priestley, Ms. Donohoe and Ms. Cronin, along with Stratford's footballers were lucky enough to get tickets to see Ireland versus Serbia in the World Cup Qualifier match in the Aviva stadium on Tuesday, 5th September. While the result was disappointing it was a great experience to be there.

The NCCA (National Council for Curriculum and Assessment) published the draft specification for the new Leaving Certificate subject of Computer Science in June 2017. It is currently in the consultation phase which is due to end on 22nd September 2017.

On Friday 1st September, TY Maths students in Ms. Cronin's and Ms. McGuckin's Maths class had to work in teams to build the tallest free standing tower made from spaghetti sticks, string, tape and a marshmallow on top!

At the Green Schools committee meeting on 1st September it was agreed to aim for the school's fourth Green Flag for Marine Litter. Many activities will be planned for the forthcoming year which will involve the whole school community, including parents, Stratford National School and our local community.
