At the Green Schools committee meeting on 1st September it was agreed to aim for the school's fourth Green Flag for Marine Litter. Many activities will be planned for the forthcoming year which will involve the whole school community, including parents, Stratford National School and our local community.

The Green Schools committee met with Ms. Donohoe on Friday, 1st September to discuss the plans for the year ahead. This year we will be aiming for our fourth Green Flag which is for Marine Litter.

The theme of Marine Litter is a new one, introduced this year. The committee are extremely excited about the year ahead and have already come up with some great suggestions and activities.

All students are welcome to attend Green Schools meetings which take place in the Classics room or in the garden (weather permitting) every Wednesday at 1.30pm. We look forward to working with all of the school community, including parents, the National School and our local community on raising awareness of the importance of keeping our waters clean.

We loved every second of it, but we also loved the hot showers afterwards! In our Irish class we expanded our vocabulary, learning new words for the activities we did, then wrote and performed scripts as Gaeilge that included the new vocabulary.
