Stratford has been privileged to have Tomi Reichental visit the school on previous occasions. However Tomi's latest visit on Wednesday, 17th November was very special as it was online. The whole school community was invited to Tomi's lecture about his life and in particular his experience of surviving the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.

Stratford College has been selected as one of 400 schools to participate in the Department of Education's new innovative Arts-in-Education BLAST Residency Programme in 2021. Adrienne Geoghegan, a visual artist and illustrator, is going to work with the TY class in January and February 2022 to help them write and illustrate their own children's books.

Computer Studies students from 2nd year to TY, and the 5th Year Computer Science students competed in the 2021 Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge starting 8th November.

Transition Year and Third Year students as part of The Crocus Project, 'an inclusive project of remembrance for young European citizens about the Holocaust' led by Holocaust Education Trust Ireland (HETI), planted yellow crocus bulbs in memory of one and a half million Jewish children who perished in the Holocaust and thousands of other children who were victims of Nazi atrocities.

On Thursday afternoon, 23rd September and all Friday morning, team 'SC-Babbage' (5th Year students - Annalivia, Adam, Dónal, Lysander and Ayush) competed in the National Finals of the 2021 EU Codeweek Hackathon. Similarly there were National Finals in Romania, Italy, Greece, Slovenia and Latvia.
