Senior students and Staff from Stratford College attended the annual National Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration at the Mansion House on Sunday 30th January.

6th Year student, Dragos read at this year's Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration. Dragos won the inaugural Mary Elmes Prize in Holocaust Studies in 2019 when he was in TY and got to meet Simon Coveney TD, Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Organised by the Holocaust Education Trust of Ireland (HETI), "the ceremony cherishes the memory of those who perished and recalls the millions of innocent Jewish men, women and children and others, who were persecuted and murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators because of their ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliations or their religious beliefs. The commemoration includes readings, survivors’ recollections, the Scroll of Names, candle-lighting and music."
