Thursday, 4th May and the rain clouds were no-where in sight! Ms Finnegan organised another fantastic and enjoyable Sports Day where everyone got involved. The TYs organised a 'relax zone' where students could get juice, fruit-flavoured water or just chill. Leo Mazor (TY) reports.

On Wednesday, 3rd May three groups of TY students went to IT Blanchardstown to compete in the SciFest@Colleges level of the competition. Two groups had Scratch programming projects and the third group had a Science project. James O'Brien writes about the day.

Ms Donohoe and Ms. Caspi brought the TY students around Dublin city centre on Thursday, 27th April to examine the interior and exterior of many stunning neo-classical buildings that populate our city centre. A number of TY students comment on the morning's tour.

Tech Week 2017 was celebrated in Computer Studies classes from Monday, 24th April through to Friday, 28th April. Students got a chance to use Virtual Reality glasses, explore augmented reality, play music using Makey Makey, play Minecraft on Raspberry Pi's, work with our little Ozobot robot and most interestingly type on an old typewriter! TY students visited the exhibition "Humans need not apply" at the Science Gallery and created their own LED torches at a workshop in Makeshop.

On Thursday, 27th April the first years assembled the whole school out on our basketball courts to create the figure .7%. They took an aerial shot of this and used it to accompany their petition to the Irish Government to honour the commitment of providing .7% of our GDP to the developing world.
