Friday, 16th June is Bloomsday. From 2pm - 7pm there will be lots of events around Rathgar Village which is the birthplace of James Joyce.

Dress up and join the fun in Rathgar village!

A troupe of actors will perform 7 mini-scenes in different venes in the village from 2pm. There will be readings from Ulysses at The Rathgar Bookshop and The Vintry. At around 4pm there will be wine and gorgonzola at The Vintry. AIB Rathgar and The O'Brien Press are hosting a reception to celebrate Bloomsday and the publication of "Best Loved Joyce" from 6pm.

Lemon tarts will be served at The Butlers Pantry. There will also be special Bloomsday menus and lots more! Check out the Bloomsday Festival website for many more events around Dublin.

Stratford reach the 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals in RDS for the first time

Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!
