School Walk 2018! Bray to Greystones Cliff Walk

This year's school walk on Wednesday, 23rd May, was from Bray to Greystones along the cliff walk. All funds raised were for Focus Ireland and it was also part of Green School's efforts to get another Green Flag (Marine) for Stratford. Oonagh Delargy (TY) explains in detail.

TYs perform 'Annie' for Stratford National School

The TYs and a number of Junior students have been working hard over the past few months under the experienced hand of Ms Conlon. On Friday, 18th May the performance was seen by Stratford N.S. pupils who really loved the event!

TY French students are the oral examiners with 1st and 2nd years

Students of Transition Year who sat DELF exams as part of the TY French programme acted as oral examiners to first and second year students for end of year exams.

TY students visit Jewish Museum

Ms Donohoe and the TY students visited the Jewish Museum on Tuesday, 22nd May. It was a most interesting visit and provided insights to Irish Jewish history.

3rd Year reads aloud her published story from the 2018 Irish Times Fighting Words Supplement

Nellie read the extract from her story 'The Bird', published in the Irish Times Fighting Words supplement on Tuesday, 15th May, to her classmates at tutor time. It was a pretty amazing moment!

2018 Irish Times Fighting Words supplement - two Stratford College writers published!

Congratulations to Grace in 1st Year and Nellie in 3rd Year whose short stories were selected for inclusion in the annual Fighting Words supplement in The Irish Times, on Tuesday the 15th of May. 

Green Schools Action Day: Save our Seahorses

Tuesday,15th May and Kealan Doyle (Save our Seahorses) and Anne Cassin (RTE Nationwide) arrived in Stratford for the Green Schools Action Day.

TY Mini Olympics

14th May 2018 - this year's TY mini-Olympics proved to be just as competitive as ever. Ms. Donohoe, Ms Finnegan and TYs enjoyed the excellent competition. Well done to Laura and Andrew who were crowned winners.

Stratford perform very well in 2018 Spelling Bee Competition

Congratulations to Stratford College's Spelling Bee Team, who secured 5th and 6th place (Sean (1st Year) and Niamh (2nd Year))  in the 2018 Spelling Bee Competition held annually in Belvedere College. 

TYs get technically creative in a Makey Makey workshop

On Thursday, 10th May, Kate Delaney and Siobhan Clancy from Make, Create, Innovate visited Stratford to host a Makey Makey workshop.
